Today was the first day of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. It is also the first time we have been in Florida while it is on so we decided to check it out.
We parked at Disney’s Boardwalk and entered Epcot from the World Showcase entrance. We then walked round the whole World Showcase sampling any dishes we fancied. We tried to share as much as we could so that we could try more and ended up trying food from 13 different countries!
We had a really good time and left feeling very fat! The park was quite busy as expected for the first day. However there were enough tills at each stall that the queues, if there were any, were short and manageable.
As there was no need to wait for rides and no need to queue, the only issues we met were the fact it was extremely hot and by the end the kids had, had enough. Despite that though, we are all glad we went.
If your child struggles with eating then this may not be the best place to take them but on the flip side the dishes were small so buying what you like and letting your child try those that they fancy is possible. The fussy eater with me only tried 3 desserts but still had a good time!
The good thing about the Epcot Food and Wine Festival is that you don’t have to do what we did and do the whole of the World Showcase in one day. You can visit a few stalls while at Epcot and combine trying a couple of dishes with Fast Passes and Disability Access Passes to give you something to do whilst virtually queueing.
