We arrived at Canons Court Mews late afternoon on Saturday and rang the lovely owner who came out to greet us and show us our cottage. We were in cottage number one and once she had checked we had everything we needed and explained check out to us we were left to unpack the car and explore.
The cottage was larger than I had expected and lovely and light from the many windows. There was a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, fridge, oven, kettle and toaster. Washing up liquid and tea towel were provided. There was a tray of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits on the side.
The kitchen opened into the living room with its two comfy sofas and large TV. On the coffee table was the password for the free wi-fi. The kids got this far in exploring!
Off the living room was a dining with table and chairs. There was also a downstairs toilet.
Up the stairs were three bedrooms. The double bedroom had a full length mirror and wardrobe.
The twin room was the largest with an ensuite shower room and toilet.
There was also a single bedroom and a shared bathroom.
The beds were very comfy and we had a great nights sleep. Check out is at 10.30 but as there was noone in the cottage after us, we were allowed to stay longer in the morning for no extra charge.
Canons Court Mews are located at a golf course so are ideal for golfers or families visiting the area.

There is plenty of natural light.
You can see animals from the windows.
The windows open wide from the inside and don’t have locks.
The furnishing and decoration is neutral and minimal so not over stimulating.
The cottage is ideal compared to a hotel because it is peaceful and you have everything you need.
There is free wi-fi.
