Premier Inn, Southport, UK

A comfy looking double bed with a light either side and a picture on the wall behind.

We stayed at the Premier Inn in Southport for the second time last weekend. My main reason for booking was so we could try out the quiet nights at Splash WorldI also needed a room with separate beds for the children and this Premier Inn always puts an extra bed in for us.

Check in is easy and the friendly staff are on reception 24 hours a day, ready to greet you on your arrival.

Our room was on the ground floor along a corridor. It was a little cold when we got there but probably because we had just been swimming. Thankfully the room temperature was easily adjustable with the thermostat on the wall.

There was a double bed, a single bed and a camp bed which was perfect for us. The beds were really comfy and the double bed was one of the comfiest I have slept in!

A hotel room with three beds. One double and two single.

The TV had enough channels to keep everyone happy and there was a kettle with tea and coffee in the room.

A kettle, cups, glasses and a bowl of tea, coffee, milk and sugar.

The room itself was spotlessly clean  and great value for money. It was also surprisingly quiet.

The bathroom had a bath and fixed over bath shower. There was a soap dispenser by the sink and a body/hair wash dispenser by the bath.

A hotel bathroom. Toilet, sink and bath.

Breakfast was not included in the price of the room but you could eat at the pub attached for a very reasonable price. Kids eat free too so three of us had a delicious buffet breakfast, including drinks, for £8.99.

Would we go back? Yes without a doubt!

A buffet English breakfast. Sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, beans, black pudding and tomatos.

Taking an autistic child to Premier Inn Southport?

The rooms are quiet with large windows to let light in.

The door is lockable from the inside but easy to unlock. It is however a heavy door.

The hotel is child friendly.

Breakfast is optional and a buffet with an assortment of hot and cold items, cereals and toast. It’s also free for kids!

The hotel is located in a large car park but you can park close by.

A double bed.

Premier Inn Southport is located at Ocean Plaza. It is advisable to book in advance online.
