We were very hungry after visiting Splash World so I gave the kids a choice of any of the selection of restaurants at Ocean Plaza in Southport. They immediately chose Kung Fu because it’s a buffet and what a buffet it was!
We were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. Having ordered our drinks we explored the many options available to us.
Kung Fu had a vast selection of starters and mains. There were also two soups. The food was a mix of Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, Thai and Indian cuisines.
As well as the usual buffet items there was a large selection of Sushi and salads, a Teppanyaki station where you could order food to be cooked, a seafood station and a Dim Sum station.
The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The buffet was kept well stocked and clean. Staff worked tirelessly in the background cleaning up, sorting out the buffet and clearing empty plates. We all had a good meal and my sons Chinese food of choice – duck pancakes, was available in abundance!
The desserts were appealingly laid out along the wall. With a large chocolate fountain and endless icecream the kids were in their element. There was also a great selection of tinned and fresh fruits, jellies and appealing bite sized desserts to choose from.
We had a great meal at Kung Fu Oriental Buffet Restaurant and will definitely be back to visit next time we are in Southport.
Taking an Autistic child to Kung Fu?
When we went the restaurant was quiet as it was quite late.
There was no waiting around for tables.
There was no background music and the restaurant was fairly peaceful.
It is a buffet so some degree of supervision might be appropriate.
There was a large selection of food, including chicken nuggets and chips.
