Lakeland caravan

After work today we headed off to Lakeland holiday park. I booked as my boiler was  condemned a week ago and the thought of a cosy warm caravan with a hot shower was too appealing. The park itself had no caravans available so I started to ring private owners until I got hold of Nina. The only reason their caravan was free was because they were planning on using it themselves but were very willing to give up their break so we could have one, which was really kind of them.

We arrived quite late, found the caravan easily from the directions we were sent and let ourselves in using the coded key box.

After quickly unpacking, the first job was to make the beds. This caused both great hilarity and achievement as, even if a little unconventionally, everyone managed to put their sheets and duvet covers on!

The caravan is great! Its tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable!

The caravan has three bedrooms. The main double bedroom has plenty of space and there is a travel cot in the large wardrobe incase you are travelling with a baby. There is a dressing table and mirror, TV and en suite toilet.

There are two twin bedrooms, one is slightly smaller than the other.

An additional shared shower and toilet room is opposite the bedrooms.

The kitchen area is well equipped with a full size oven and hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a large fridge and unusually for a caravan, a separate freezer.

The living area is really nice with a large comfy sofa and a TV/DVD player.

There is a table and four chairs.

Outside is a grass area with outdoor table and chairs and a parking space for the car.

The caravan is lovely, comfortable, clean and best of all, warm with a hot shower!

We are staying for the weekend (Friday to Monday) for just over £200. Entertainment passes for the Haven facilities are not included but are available from the site.
The facebook page for the caravan can be found here and the owners can be contacted on 07841403751.
